Did you know that the South African printing and packaging industry contributes around 2% to the country’s GDP, and helps up to 100 000 families put food on the table? Comprising about 1 500 companies, this vibrant industry offers a variety of career opportunities catering to all sorts of interests and pursuits.
Printing SA commemorated Workers Day with a series of interviews on Jozi FM where professionals from the industry shared their everyday work experiences on air, as well as gave us insights on how they entered the industry. Steve Thobela, CEO of Printing SA, gave a broad overview of the industry whilst Ken Leid informed listeners of the myriad career opportunities available in the industry in his capacity as Director: National Training & Development.
