Printing SA serves as the official voice of the industry offering legal representation, consultancy services
and secretariat functions to our members at below-market rates.

We provide industry representation across many forums and organisations:

  • Fibre Processing and Manufacturing (FP&M) Seta – Board and Committees
  • Statutory Council of the Printing, Newspaper and Packaging Industry of South Africa – Board and Committees
  • The Printing Industry Pension and Provident Fund for South African Typographical Union (SATU) members – Board and Committees
  • South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SACCI) – Council and Board
  • Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) – Council

We offer labour relations representation at the Industry's Statutory Council for the Printing Newspaper and Packaging Industry as well as:

  • Advice on various labour related Acts (BCEA, LRA, EE, UIF)
  • Secretarial service for the Printing Employers Association of South Africa (PEASA) and Independent Packaging Employers Association of South Africa (IPEASA)
  • Representation Serving on and representing the interests of employers on the Board of Trustees for the SA Typographical Union Retirement Funds
  • Counselling, chairing of disciplinary hearings, chairing disciplinary appeal hearings

Consultancy Services

We provide our members with consulting services that include the facilitation of salary negotiations, mediation between members and clients, arbitration between members and clients, the chairing of disciplinary hearings and appearances at Statutory Council or CCMA.

Human Resources Management

Not only do we consult on Human Resources Management but we offer contracts of employment, telephonic advice on Human Resources matters and Ad Hoc Industry wage surveys as well as advice on the interpretation of health and safety legislation and regulations.
