The client is specifically seeking "intelligent, hardworking people" with technical qualifications, potentially from technical schools or associated training organizations like SAPI. The agent should also enjoy traveling and meeting new people.

The client is prepared to offer the agent full technical support, including product specification updates and training. They may also provide expensive tooling equipment to highly skilled agents focused on the technical aspects of paper machines or corrugators, though this is conditional on proven expertise.

Regarding compensation, the client is looking for a multi-company agent, not a sole agent. Commissions will range between 8% and 12% on paid amounts. The specific rate will depend on the agent's technical skills and the level of technical support they can provide, with higher commissions for agents able to conduct machine surveys. The client also indicated they could potentially help a new agent find other agencies to represent in South Africa to help them build their portfolio.
