Job Title: Field Service Technician (certified)

Job Location: Remote (based out of Johannesburg)

 

The certified field service technician will be responsible for the installation, repair, and service of equipment supplied by ROTOCON within the assigned region and designated accounts. This person will travel to sites as needed to perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair issues at industrial facilities. This person must have an engineering mindset with a very hands-on approach and a great customer and principal interface. The work will require travel, sometimes on short notice, and may require extended trips. A get-it-done mentality is expected of all ROTOCON’s field service technicians.

 

•    Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot ROTOCON control and propulsion installations at customer site locations

•    Travel on very short notice to troubleshoot existing installations.

•    Troubleshoot at site locations and determine suitable resolutions and implement corrective actions

•    Provide training and instruction to customers/operators.

•    Perform engineering tasks as directed to facilitate proper service, technical integrity, installation, and commissioning

•    Provide continuous support in response to customer service calls

•    Perform other duties assigned by management to meet business needs

•    Interact and communicate with internal customers such as production personnel, engineers, and management

•    Coordinate closely with ROTOCON sales and operations

•    Qualified Electrician or equivalent certified accredited practical skills

•    UV Inkjet & application experience is a plus

A debtors' clerk keeps record of customers' accounts at an undertaking and recovers the undertaking's debts. These records are kept in the form of books, record cards or on computer. A debtors' clerk does routine work in the accounts department of an undertaking.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Processing of customer invoices / credit notes.

·       Sending out statements to clients.

·       Send out weekly/monthly statements.

·       Deal with Customer Queries.

·       Collection of debtors.

·       Allocate customer payments using the remittance.

·       Vetting credit application.

·       Customer age analysis (weekly).

·       Monthly rental and municipal invoices (Avenue Development).

·       Communication on ad-hoc basis with different parties associated with the company.

The operators are responsible for the set up and adjustment of machines. They also monitor machines and production process for unusual noises or movements that may result in poor quality. 

Operators’ setup machines before production, making sure that they are in working order and they perform to required specifications. They run the machine and observe them during production. If they detect problems, they can stop processes and make minor adjustments / repairs or refer major problems to the on-site technicians. They load supplies into machines by hand, machines, or assistance from other team members. They replace machines parts as per wear and tear to ensure the highest production quality standards are met. They test and measure finished products and record their activities and manufacturing levels.

Due to production line requirements, machine operators work in an environment where teamwork is important. They are expected to meet production quotas. There is a level of documentation required which includes production feedback, quality checks, routine maintenance checklists and breakdown reports

Maintain and operate a Gluing Machine, while meeting or beating the Customer's requirements as far as quality and speed are concerned, while maintaining a high degree of cost effectiveness.  Ensuring that the finished product meets customer specifications at all times.

Winning Form has an exciting opportunity available for a Flexo Machine Minder to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent will ensure smooth running of the printing machinery, effective machine functioning, complete maintenance in the form of housekeeping of the asset and assisting with Mechanical repair. Verify quality of prints as per customers sign off. Ensure effective reporting of downtime to your direct line manager. Time management on all jobs completed.

Minimum requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience as a Flexo Machine Minder
  • A minimum of 5 years print production experience
  • Knowledge of Slitting and Rewinding
  • Knowledge of Roll Label printing

Operations:

  • Verify all jobs process are as per customers requirement/signoff.
  • Maintain your machinery and ensure weekly housekeeping is completed.
  • Report on all downtime and breakages.
  • Conduct quality control on all jobs printed.
  • Ensuring production deadlines are met to ensure that timelines are met.
  • Alerting the factory manager/Operations Manager of equipment and stock items to be purchased as and when the need arises.
  • Provides various other duties with regards to the production/printing department as and when required.
  • Responsible for the printing process on a Flexo narrow web press to specifications and standards of     
    quality, through put and efficiency.
  • Assuring maximum production volume in accordance with machine specifications.
  • KPI target 100% Material and Labour Conversions and a cost-effective approach to all print work.
  • Preventative maintenance on the machine.
  • Quality driven and attention to detail
  • Conduct weekly stock counts over the Factory stock items as directed by the Factory Manager/Operations  Manager.
  • Conduct the destruction of obsolete publications as approved by the Operations Manager
  • Limit high levels of wastage.
  • Ensure machine is secure at the end of a shift.
  • Regular testing and maintenance of the machines.
  • Accurate counting of print runs and raw materials as well as accurate packing of routes.
  • Accurate reconciliations and completions of necessary production schedules.
  • Willing to offer growth and development to existing and new team members. MUST be willing to train      team members without prejudice
