It is with great sadness and mourning that Printing SA announces the passing of one of our great industry stalwarts, Terry Kane who passed away on Sunday 27th September 2020.

Terry served Printing SA as Board President between 1990–1992 and again in 1998–2000 and on behalf of our current management and staff, and the printing industry as a whole, we wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Kane family.

We commiserate with Terry’s family, loved ones, colleagues and all who knew him, and the outpouring of grief in the industry bears testimony to the noble role that Terry played.

Terry served as President of PIFSA over two years and during his first term in office, he was passionately involved in getting the SA Printing College running at full capacity with suitable training courses and programmes being put in place.

During his tenure with Printing SA, Terry played a pivotal role in focusing PIFSA’s attention on bringing equal opportunities to all people, irrespective of gender, race or prior education. He promoted the inclusion of all races in both general memberships as well as at an Executive level within PIFSA, a decision that was a huge benefit to the industry and its members.

On behalf of Printing SA Management, we promise that; as we advance, we will keep those values in our pledge and constitution in respect to Terry, who was a selfless servant of our industry and to whom we owe great gratitude.
