Technical Theoretical Module 3

Printing SA’s Technical Theoretical Module 3 (TT3) will provide Apprentices with the underpinning knowledge to competently perform any practical tasks they are required to complete in terms of the CBMT (Competency Based Modular Training) programme.

Registration for Technical Theoretical Module 3 is open from 18 June 2021.

Commercial Digital Printer Programme

Printing SA’s Commercial Digital Printer Programme is the ideal programme for learners who are entering our Industry. The programme is dividing into 7 courses, and each one covers a key concept that learners will need to become proficient in the digital prepress, printing and print finishing environments.

The Programme breakdown is as follows:

  • Introduction to Digital Printing 6 - 7 July
  • Digital Prepress 13 - 14 July
  • Colour Management 10 - 11 August
  • Digital Printing Inks 17 - 18 August
  • Digital Printing Substrates 7 - 8 September
  • Digital Printing Finishing 14 - 15 September
  • Digital Printing Presses 28 - 29 September

The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act) comes into effect from 1 July 2021, and it is in the best interest of all of our members to ensure that they are fully compliant to prevent any legal ramifications or fines arising from non-compliance.

The POPI Act Applies to any person or organisation that keeps any type of records relating to the personal information of anyone, promotes the protection of personal information by public and private bodies.

New Live FESPA Virtual Event Series Helps Printers Get FIT for Recovery

FESPA is introducing FIT – FESPA Innovations and Trends, a new series of live virtual events aimed at helping printers plan effectively for their business recovery.

The new interactive live online events are each themed around a particular area of technology and applications, giving visitors a focused environment in which to engage with new products and explore trends. The first two events in the series will take place in May and June 2021 and are as follows:

  • Wide Format: 26 - 27 May 2021
  • Printed Clothing: 9 - 10 June 2021

FESPA FIT events are free to attend for visitors, but numbers are capped to manage the quality of the interactive experience for printers and suppliers alike.
