PRINTING SA'S SUCCESS AT THE AFRICA PRINT EXPO |
Printing SA's team joined forces with the Printing Industries at the Africa Print Expo, held on 3-4 May 2023 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). They were met with a diverse audience, stemming from students, new business owners to the board of Universities. There were some latest technologies showcased on the expo days, such as 3D Printing. 3D Printing creates a new and innovative space within the printing industry.
3D Printing that were showcased on the day were solid objects being made into customised signage, LED Lighting equipment, clothing branding, name tags and more.
The expo's are also seeing an increasing demand of young professionals, wanting to learn, grow and be a part of the industry. Overall, Printing SA, has become the pillar of these expo's, as they attend to many curious minds about how the industry began, works and will be maintained over the years. They view these expo's as a success, due to the growing curiosity around the industry.

BUSINESS NETWORKING FORUM

The Business Networking Forum was held on Thursday, 11th of May at the Canvas Riversands Incubation Hub in Fourways, Midrand. Ashley Samuel, the Central Chamber Regional Manager, welcomed the delegates and introduced the partnership between Printing SA, FP&M Seta and Remchannel (Pty) Ltd.
Printing SA was commissioned by the FP&M Seta to conduct industry benchmarking research on the Salaries and Skills in the sector across 50 trades and occupations. Printing SA focused on bringing the industry together within the Central and Northern Chambers to showcase the importance of the Salaries and Skills Research. The delegates were presented by Rene Ritcher, the Managing Director of Remchannel (Pty) Ltd., who focused on the discussion around remuneration research. The various members, and non-members alike found that the industry plays a vital role in the conduction of the research.

FP&M SETA GRANT SUBMISSION EXTENDED TO 31 MAY 2023 |
Please be advised that the FP&M SETA Board has approved the extension deadline for Mandatory Grant and Discretion Grant Applications to 31st May 2023.
Stakeholders are hereby invited to make their submissions on the FP&M SETA’s LMIS, which is currently open for all companies that have not made a submission to date.
The new deadline date for Mandatory and Discretionary Grant Applications is 31st May 2023 at 12h00. No further extensions will be granted. |
