New EU security requirements for air couriers, Printing SA wins second place for Best Medium Custom Stand at Print Durban Expo, and Fujifilm opens new head office in SA. |

Printing SA participated in a recent site visit at one of their new members – Morgancoat in Durban, KwaZulu – Natal. Morgancoat is one of the largest self adhesive label manufacturing companies in the world.
They are the only company that sources raw material for labelling-stock in South Africa. Hence, they have utilized the most innovative technology and ensured an ideal working space for their employees. Printing SA were given a tour of the premises. They saw a beautifully-designed kitchen and dining area, as well as
meeting Morgancoat’s professional chef, who cooks their staff a three meals a day. They also have a gym, which maintains the well-being of the employees, thus allowing them to have high productivity levels whilst also maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Lastly, they have a robotics team that has meticulously engineered robots as tools for easy stocktake, which is a crucial part of many businesses. Printing SA was positively impacted by their visit and found that Morgancoat is not just a labelling company, but are innovative thinkers and doers, providing a bright future for South Africa.

From 1 March 2023, new EU safety and security requirements will apply to all air carriers, freight forwarders, express couriers, and postal operators. All mentioned will have to submit advance cargo information via a complete entry summary declaration (ENS) under the new ICS2 system1 before goods arrive to the EU by air. |
